05/12/2018 | Freedom from the Law [1/2] | 8:35
KEY SCRIPTURE
[God] who also hath made us able ministers of the new covenant; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth but the, but the spirit gives life;
2 Corinthians 3:6; 9; 17
But if the ministration of condemnation be glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory;
Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, ‘Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree’:
Galatians 3:13-14; 16-18; 26-27
That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith;
Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, ‘And to seeds’ as of many; but as of one, ‘And of thy seed’, which is Christ.
And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the Law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect.
For if the inheritance be of the Law, it is no more of promise: but God gave it to Abraham by promise;
For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
For as many of you as have been baptised into Christ have put on Christ.
