Surrendered to God (Part 1): Your Spirit Submits to God

IS YOUR SPIRIT SUBMIT TO GOD?

Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.

Ephesians 5:22-24

When you believed the Gospel of Christ [1 Corinthians 15: 3-4], you were baptised into Christ [Galatians 3:26-27, 1 Corinthians 12:13].

In this baptism, your spirit was joined to Christ [1 Corinthians 6:17] and you are now in union with Christ [1 Corinthians 1:30].

Your spiritual union with Christ is a part of a marriage union between Christ and the church [Ephesians 5:23].

Christ is the head of the church [Ephesians 5:23], and your spirit is subject to Christ [Ephesians 5:24].

Therefore, God has made your spirit submit to Christ [Ephesians 5:24; 5:22].

Christ is seated at the right hand of God [Acts 2:33], and so submits to God.

Since Christ submits to God and your spirit submits to Christ, your spirit also submits to God.
