IS YOUR SPIRIT SURRENDERED TO GOD?
For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.
Philippians 3:3
When you believed the Gospel of Christ [1 Corinthians 15:3-4], your spirit was made to be in submission to Christ through baptism into Christ [Galatians 3:26-27, Ephesians 5:22-24].
Therefore, God has made your spirit submit to Him [Philippians 3:3a, Romans 2:29].
Consequently, your spirit loves God and wants to relate to God [Philippians 3:3a, Romans 1:9].
Since your spirit submits to God, your spirit has stopped fighting against Him [Romans 5:1, 8:7].
Surrender means to stop fighting, so God has effectively surrendered your spirit to Him, by making your spirit submit to Him.
You don’t have to try to stop rebelling against God [Romans 8:12, Philippians 3:3b], because God has already done that in you [Ephesians 5:22-24].
