You are Complete in Christ

WHAT DOES COMPLETE IN CHRIST MEAN?

For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:
Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.

Colossians 2:9-12

When you believed the Gospel [1 Corinthians 15:3-4], you were baptised into Christ [Galatians 3:26-27].

Your spirit died with Christ, was raised with Christ [Colossians 2:12] and was therefore born again of God.

Consequently, your spirit is holy [Ephesians 1:4]. This is why Paul addresses the Colossian Christians as saints, which means ‘sanctified one’.

Effectively, your spirit is complete in Christ [Colossians 2:10].

When you died with Christ, you died to your sinful flesh, and so you have effectively put off your sinful flesh [Colossians 2:11, Romans 6:6, Galatians 5:24]. This is spiritual circumcision.

Therefore, you are complete in Christ [Colossians 2:10].
